"Protecting the public and serving our member boards by promoting excellence in chiropractic regulation."

Working Together — Education and Regulation

Dr. Fabrizio Mancini, President of Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas shared with attendees that only when boards and colleges work together will competent practitioners be working in the field of chiropractic.

Chiropractic educational institutions provide for a new flow of potential doctors, acceptance of an accredited D.C. degree, post-doctoral education including continuing education, legislative support, library resources, public awareness, and organized research efforts.

The Federation's licensing boards protect the consumer, regulate the licensees, enforce statutes, make rules to interpret the statutes, license new graduates, maintain practice statistics, gather legislative input, and uphold the expectation of clinical competency of D.C.s.

Dr. Mancini declared that if both the education and regulatory systems work together it allows for more congressional support, professional statistics, support for state and national organizations, professional recognition, and most importantly enhances the public's perception of chiropractic.

"Our members were most impressed by Dr. Mancini's address at the Federation's Diamond Jubilee. He exudes both compassion for the profession and a strong commitment to the health, safety and welfare of the patient," said Dr. Wayne Wolfson, FCLB President and Conference Chair.

He went on to say, "In detailing importance of cooperation between the licensing boards and colleges, Dr. Mancini made a significant impact on the futures of both segments of the profession."
