Looking Around the Bend...
The Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards fulfills
its mission to serve its member board and protect the public with numerous
ongoing projects. The FCLB Board continues to review strategies and outcomes of
projects—here is a look at some of the goals that lie ahead:
... to protect the public and to serve our member boards by
promoting excellence in chiropractic regulation
|
- FCLB Mission Statement |
To continue to develop the CIN-BAD databases as helpful
for our member boards, with an eye toward supporting the credentialing needs of
the managed care community. The FCLB will notseek CVO status with the addition
of the ALLDOCS data, but rather hopes to continue to expand the number and
quality of the databases that qualify for NCQA and URAC recognition as primary
verification source level data;
- To support the efforts of our FCLB standing and
special committees (members are listed on our website) to the following ends:
- Reducing regulatory barriers to licensure for qualified practitioners
who wish to relocate or pursue temporary or electronic practice options;
- Making more efficient the process of seeking approval for licensure renewal
credit for continuing education;
- Streamlining the process for original
licensure;
- Educating board members and staff about appropriate regulatory
standards, ethics, and processes;
- Expanding and standardizing the range of
disciplinary options available to regulatory boards;
- Continuing to uphold
the rights of the consumer to receive the best possible chiropractic care;
- Educating the public and managed care about chiropractic credentials, with
special emphasis on the role of the regulatory boards;
- Assisting our member
boards in networking and sharing information and concerns through a variety of
outreach tools, including Internet, newsletters, PowerPolls, and direct support;
- Serving as a full partner in the interprofessional regulatory community.
