Florida Board of Chiropractic Medicine
...discussed the issue of DC's providing chiropractic services on cruise ships. It was determined that under maritime law, the board does not have jurisdiction over cruise ships once they enter international waters.

Chiropractic physicians would, however, need a Florida license if the licensees were to provide health care services to patients on a cruise ship–if the ship is in a Florida port or if it has not entered international waters.

Oregon Board of Chiropractic Examiners
...deemed that the possible six- month lag time between the initial public board action to the final orders left a period of possible non- protection to the public.

They solved their timing issue by reporting the initial public action to CIN-BAD utilizing miscellaneous codes and re-reporting the final orders when established.

This mini-adjudicated process allows for the board to track those licensees with board actions and making the record concise while carrying out their mission.

Virginia Board of Medicine
