Because there have been additional developments in the accreditation situation
involving Life University, Dr. Joseph Brimhall, CCE's chairman of the Commission
on Accreditation, has kindly provided the following statement to update our
member boards.

Life University College of Chiropractic (LUCC) has formally notified the
Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) of intent to appeal the CCE Commission
on Accreditation (COA) June 10, 2002 decision not to reaffirm LUCC
accreditation. This notification will initiate an appeal process during which
time LUCC retains accredited status with the COA.
Details regarding the COA decision concerning LUCC and the appeal process can
