December 6, 2000 STATUS OF LIFE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF CHIROPRACTIC At the December 5, 2002 Public Meeting, the New Jersey Board of Chiropractic Examiners has had an opportunity to review the report of a site visit conducted by the Board’s representatives on November 20 and 21, 2002. The Board has determined to grant provisional approval to Life University College of Chiropractic, pursuant to its authority at N.J.S.A. 45:9-41.6, for a period of one year or the completion of four additional quarters, subject to an additional site inspection which will occur at that time. In the interim, the Board has identified several recommendations and expectations which have been provided to the University. The Board’s formal decision will be detailed in the form of an Interim Order, which will be prepared by Board Counsel, signed by the Board President and filed with the Board at a future date. As required by the statute, continued Board approval is contingent upon Life University retaining accredited status with either the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), or the Commission on Accreditation of the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE). Students attending or graduating from Life University during this time will meet the statutory qualifications for licensure in New Jersey.
