Georgia Board of Chiropractic Examiners For
immediate release – November 18, 2002 On
October 23, 2002, the Georgia Board of Chiropractic Examiners voted to post an
amendment to Board Rule 100-12-.01,
which if passed by the Board, will remove Life University College of
Chiropractic (LUCC) from the list of chiropractic schools and colleges
accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) that are approved by
the Board. The decision is based on the University's failure to
maintain accreditation from the CCE. The Board
is scheduled to discuss this proposed rule change at a public hearing
on January 9, 2003, at
10:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Board's Division, 237 Coliseum
Drive, Macon, Georgia. The Board will vote on this issue at a meeting
immediately following the public hearing. Should
the Board vote to remove LUCC from the Board approved list of chiropractic
colleges referenced in Board Rule 100-12-.01, the Board will not consider
applications for chiropractic licensure in Georgia from LUCC graduates
subsequent to that date, or until such time as the Board may reinstate LUCC to
the
list of chiropractic schools and colleges accredited by the Council on
Chiropractic Education (CCE) that are approved by the Board. For information contact: Mollie L. Fleeman, Division
