American Chiropractic Association awards grant to FCLB

The Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards recently received a grant of $2,500 from the American Chiropractic Association. The ACA has previously provided both operations support and early development grants for the Federation’s CIN-BAD (Chiropractic Information Network-Board Action Databank) program.

Current funding will help underwrite costs of numerous programs in development such as a clearinghouse for chiropractic continuing education. The FCLB Continuing Education Task Force is in the developmental stage of streamlining the application process for programs to qualify toward chiropractic licensure renewal.

The Federation is also working on reducing regulatory barriers to licensure for qualified practitioners who wish to relocate or pursue temporary or electronic practice options. ALLDOCS, an addition to the CIN-BAD integrated on-line databases, will soon provide primary-source verification of licensure in all US states to help doctors meet the credentialing data needs of managed care.

Grants and sponsorships allow the FCLB to pursue its mission of excellence in chiropractic licensure and regulation. With this support, the American Chiropractic Association continues its longstanding tradition of supporting programs which benefit the health, safety and welfare of the chiropractic patient.
