Graduated summa cum laude from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1984 and subsequently practiced as an associate doctor in the Los Angeles area for the next 3 years. During that time, she served as President of the Los Angeles Southwest Society of the California Chiropractic Association for 2 terms, and in 1987, was a finalist for CCA's Oustanding New Doctor Award. In 1987-88, she served as Treasurer for the 10-Society, Los Angeles County Chiropractic Society of the CCA. She moved to Texas in the fall of 1988, and has practiced in the same location of South Austin since. In July of 1997, she was named to the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners for a 6-year term, and in the summer of 1999, was elected vice-chair of the agency by its members. In the fall of both 1998 and 1999, she served as an examiner for National Boards Part IV at the Parker College site, and in June of 1999, she participated on the Part IV Exam Selection Committee. She has been happily married for 12 years, and has 3 children and 2 step-children.
