Ron Tripp, D.C.,
FCLB
District IV Director
Dr. Tripp was elected to his second three-year term as the FCLB District IV
Director during the FCLB 2006 Annual Meeting held in Portland, Oregon. He has served as board president of the Oklahoma Board of Chiropractic
Examiners since 1997.
Originally from Lake Orion, Michigan, he is a 1979 Graduate of Palmer College
of Chiropractic, and has maintained a private practice in Norman, Oklahoma
since 1980.
He
is a court appointed Independent Medical Examiner to the Oklahoma Workers
Compensation Court and was a contributing author of the Neck and Back
Treatment Guidelines for Injured Workers while a member of the Court's
Physician Advisory Committee in 1996. Dr. Tripp served seven terms as
president of the Oklahoma State Chiropractic Association.
Dr.
Tripp is also president of USA Judo and a member of the board of directors of
the United States Olympic Committee as well as maintaining active business
interests in Internet and wireless communications. An accomplished coach and
athlete, he was an assistant coach on the University of Oklahoma Wrestling
staff from 1979 - 1992.
Following his 1980 retirement from competitive wrestling he took an interest
in the sport of Judo and Cambo (Russian Judo) and was a member of the National
Teams from 1984 through 1994. Between the two sports he garnered over a dozen
National Championships and Pan American titles. Highlights of his career
include 8 Olympic Festival Medals with a Gold in 1994, and 7 World
Championship Medals, 3 Bronze and 3 Silvers, before winning the World
Championships and a Gold medal in 1994. He was part of the USA Judo Team's
Bronze Medal performance at the Mifune International Team Championships in
Kuji, Japan in December 1994.
