The San Antonio River Walk is lined with dozens of interesting places to eat. For signature San Antonio food, try any of these spots, some on sections of the River Walk that are well known to locals but not to out-of-towners. 

Ácenar
A striking, contemporary ambiance welcomes diners to this colorful Mexican restaurant. Experience house-made salsas, chiles rellenos, mole and more. 

Biga on the Banks
Owned by nationally renowned chef Bruce Auden, Biga offers fine dining founded in the classics but reaching into Texas and Southwest regional cuisine.

Boudro’s
This “Texas bistro” has great steaks, blackened shrimp and more, but don’t miss the guacamole made fresh tableside.

The Fig Tree
In a historic building once occupied by the French consulate, the Fig Tree's traditional menu of steaks and seafood tastes even better served on an elegant outdoor terrace overlooking a quiet bend in the River Walk.
