2002 State Board Report for Louisiana

Louisiana State Board of Chiropractic Examiners

2. Describe three of the most interesting and/or important events/achievements/changes
your Board has accomplished this past year.
The Board was successful at passing legislation which will "phase in" NBCE's Part IV as a
requirement for licensure 1/1/04. Also, the Board broadened it's contractual powers and
authority.
3. What difficult challenges does your board currently face?
Issues relating to"out of state" IME reviewers, "chiropractic treatment of animals" issues, and
"informed consent" issues.
4. Name one way the FCLB has helped you achieve a board goal within the last year.
"Power Poll" information gathering and reporting is a very useful tool to our Board.
